San Jacinto Animal Shelter

San Jacinto Animal Shelter

Armstrong & Brooks was selected by HED Architects to perform Civil Engineering services for the new San Jacinto Animal Shelter in the County of Riverside. The project is a challenge because of the time constraints involved in a fast track design schedule.

Armstrong & Brooks prepared and processed Improvement Plans, Specifications and Estimates for Grading & Drainage Plans required for the new facility, including eight (8) new buildings, On-Site Sewer & Water, Fire Water, including the required technical studies and reports. Services also will include construction support for review and recommendations pertaining to contractor’s request for information and construction contract change orders.

In addition to performing on-site grading plans for approximately 6-acres of development, A&B prepared and processed Public Improvement Plans through the City of San Jacinto for the Grand Avenue Street widening. This involved cross-sectional design field survey, compilation of raw field data, generation of a 3-D model, and design street cross sections for determination of street asphalt concrete overlays, removals, and replacements.

A&B also provided a Water Quality Management Plan and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to address construction activity erosion control as well as long term Best Management Practices (BMP’s) and their maintenance to enhance and ensure water quality emanating from the site.
