Norco Student Success Center – Riverside Community College, Norco, California

Armstrong & Brooks was selected by HED Architects to perform Civil Engineering services for the proposed Student Success Center at the RCC Norco Campus. This project involved the construction of a new 2-story facility, located in the center of campus north of the existing library.

Armstrong & Brooks prepared and processed Improvement Plans, Specifications and Estimates for the Grading & Drainage Plans required for the new facility. A&B also provided a comprehensive site demolition plans for the site, which consisted of nearly 2-acres. On-Site Sewer & Water, Fire Water, including the required technical studies and reports were also provided. A&B also designed relocation of existing sanitary sewer facilities and protection of existing water lines, fire water, and storm drain facilities. The design documents were coordinated to maintain access to existing structures and protection of an existing pedestrian bridge. Services also will include construction support for review and recommendations pertaining to contractor’s request for information and construction contract change orders.

A&B also provided a Water Quality Management Plan and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to address construction activity erosion control as well as long term Best Management Practices (BMP’s) and their maintenance to enhance and ensure water quality emanating from the site.
