Armstrong & Brooks prepared and processed Improvement Plans, Specifications and Estimates for Grading & Drainage Plans required for the new facility on a 2-acre site, including site demolition, On-Site Sewer & Water, Fire Water, and the required technical studies and reports. Services also included construction support for review and recommendations pertaining to contractor’s request for information and construction contract change orders.
In addition to performing on-site grading plans for the project, A&B designed the southerly plaza of the building which involved ADA access ramps, stairways, retaining walls, a storm drain system and storm water pumping facility to accommodate the 100-year storm.
A&B also provided a Water Quality Management Plan and a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to address construction activity erosion control as well as long term Best Management Practices (BMP’s) and their maintenance to enhance and ensure water quality emanating from the site.
A&B provided construction support services, supplemental construction survey staking services, plan revisions and value engineering during construction to enhance the ADA path-of-travel limits of removal and replacement work. These field engineering services were provided expeditiously to maintain construction cohesiveness and the project delivery date to the owner.
