Green River Road
Widening And Traffic Signalization Design Modification Along Green River Road From Palisades Dr. To Sr-91”- City Of Corona Project No. 48-1106
A&B performed a field topographic survey and an aerial topographic survey which was compiled with base map data assembled from reference maps and plans obtained from multiple database sources including BN&SF Railroad, Caltrans, City of Corona, Pacbell, SCE, SCG, Level3 Communications, etc. The topographic base map was instrumental to performing the alignment studies and conceptual designs required prior to selecting the ultimate alignment and width which included new centerline median, pavement overlay, and removal and replacement of deteriorated asphaltic concrete pavement, signage and striping, including demolition and construction staging. Through value engineering, A&B was able to recommend cost saving design alternatives to the original alignments anticipated by City Staff.
Services included legal descriptions and plat maps for additional rights-of-way and easements, comprehensive street improvement, storm drain, water improvements, traffic signal, staging, signing & striping, erosion control plans for a 100-sheet plan set for public bid (Plans, specifications and cost estimates). The engineer’s estimate was $5.9 million and within 0.50% of the awarded construction contract.
