Smith Ave. 12-inch Domestic Water Main & 18-inch Trunk Sewer Line – City of Corona
A&B prepared improvement plans, specifications and estimates for public bid for over 2,400 linear feet of 12-inch water line in Smith Avenue from Pomona Road to Maple Street, including a parallel 18-inch trunk sewer. The 12-inch D.I.P. CL 250 water line design included plan and profile preparation with replacement of 10 existing commercial water services, 6 fire services, existing fire hydrants and details for tie-ins at Maple St. and Pomona Road. The project design including potholing of over 25 existing utilities and A&B coordinated all field work for all sub-contractor’s efforts, including all field surveying. The design was performed to maintained existing domestic and fire water services to industrial customers without interruptions to business operations. All of the existing underground vaults for backflow devices were redesigned for above ground DDC’s and backflow devices to meet current City water standards. The project was constructed in early 2014 project within the approved budget. A&B provided full civil professional Construction Support Services, RFI’s, Shop Drawings, Field engineering, attendance at construction meetings, final as-built record plans.
