Corona High School Additions

Corona-Norco Unified School District – New Performing Arts, Administration and Science Building

Armstrong & Brooks was selected by PCH Architects to perform Civil Engineering services for the expansion of approximately 5.5 acres of the existing 44± acre site in the City of Corona. This site was a challenge because of the proposed mutli-level architecture and the need to preserve the integrity of the existing campus while providing a design that maintains ADA accessibility and parking lot circulation.

The additions consisted of an 8,213 s.f. Administration Building , a 23,010 s.f. multi-level Performing Arts Center and a 34,684 s.f. multi-level Science Building.

In conjunction with the Architect, Armstrong & Brooks designed and detailed a series of ramps, retaining walls and stairs to provide access between the existing facilities and the proposed campus additions. In addition to preparing and processing Improvement Plans, Specifications and Estimates for Grading & Drainage, Fire Sprinkler Supply System and Domestic Sewer & Water, Armstrong & Brooks performed an aerial topographic survey and detailed field topographic survey to ensure compliance with ADA requirements. Services also included a Boundary Survey and Analysis and the preparation and processing of a Record of Survey to set missing monumentation along the project boundary.
